Hello need info on maxima

Supz, this is a nice forum. I am basically new to cars because i was derived of it from my parents. After furthur looking into cars i decided to get a maxima because there isn't any know big problems to it except for the waterpump and timing belt that u have to check every often. And don't forget it looks good.

I know this guy that is selling his 96' Maxima GLE. He has tinited his windows, modified the manifold, exhust and intake. He only put 55,000 miles on it.
How much do you think this car is worth?

Great forum

Just FYI, if you are looking at a '96 maxima, it does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain, and you should not need to worry about it or the water pump at all really.

A good price on a '96 GLE for that many miles is probably between $8k and $10k...

yeah, it's a bit surprising... thats what edmunds gave as a price for that car.... but if it is in good shape, and has low miles, I don't see why it wouldn't last you a long time.... and for that price, it's a good deal

I would have thought it would go for just a little bit more, but the 00 maxima's are already down to 18K. right?

Alright. 8grand sounds pretty resonable. It looks good, white car with tan leather.
i just hope my parents agree with this purchase.
they always seem to think of a imaginary price like 5grand.
wish me luck

pretty good deal? thats one hell of a deal. i think my 96 SE is valued at around 8,400 with almost 77,000 miles and "fair" quality for a private party sale. so expect to pay for for a car in better condition with 20,000 less miles.
