BoostedGSX, thanks for saying finally that a 9lb 16g gsx could be beat by a maxima, and I agree w/ all you say except the launching part. he was almost standing still, I was launching like a granny (just let it where my clutch was completely out so once he did lock up I could hit the gas and go)... he wasnt pulling on my like crazy when he was burning all 4's... oh well

i personally have a 95 awd. 5spd. afc, cfdf clutch, walbro, hallman mbc, i rebuilt a 14B and completly ported it to 7cm, and completly ported the compressor housing, 16X8 300ZX rimz (soon to be 16X8 rx-7 rimz), 3" custom intake pipe, and some weight savings. other crap too that i cant even remember now. lol! recently ran a 13.1 @ 103.8mph with a 1.7 60 ft.

why do I even post roadkills? i guess too many people have ruined them by making up crap so when I come, shocked as much as you all, that i killed one, people have to quote me 10sec cars out of magazine.. like this guy dropped 50g's in his car - nope. oh well, oh yeah and I'm sorry if I think its cool that a car can light up all 4 wheels and NOT BE LAUNCHING... I could have beaten him on a bicyle while he was smokin them!
and boosted, I dont want a argument or whatever, but I find it sooo hard to believe that you can be spinning all 4 wheels ALL the way through first gear, and still hit a 1.7...... I find that impossible to believe honestly, all 4 through the whole gear, hmmm... ok. But dude, if you honestly did it, ALL THE POWER TO YA. that is awesome! makes launching super easy I guess, b/c if you have twice the amount of tirespin, I guess that would make you just have crazy fast launches? I kinda thought when you are spinning the tires like mad, that no matter if you had 1 or 5wheels spinning, you arent going to be getting the best times... maybe that is just me, pardon me if it is.

and YES you can roast all four and get lower then a 1.7 60ft
i used to do it all the time, first and second gear, and chirp third
{might explain why i blew the tranny up}
i roasted them in the maxima as well and still got 2.0 1.9 60ft's

damn this maxima forum stuff if funner than i thought. hey buddy, hmled32643462 whatever, who owns a dsm again? me or you? thanx for backing me up on that one bryan h.! btw, i dont lie. bryan, your car must be sweet. you didn't have to write all those little things. just the majors. most gsx's start out with the basics like a 3" turbo back, guages, brakes, etc. etc. what is your best 1/4 mile? btw what is a Autronic Standalone? never heard of that one.

the autronic is a full standalone used mainly on lancers and subaru's over sea's. they are based in australia, and farily expensive {5k for a full instal and tune}
its not a bad little thing, just the only thing i hate about it is every couple months or so, say 6 months it has to be re-tuned. or is you add something different like a FMIC or different turbo, head work. piddly crap. it might throw the computer all screwy
the upside is, you look cool at the track when you have a laptop on top of your car with a wire comming out of it and people ask you waht you're doing

damn that's fast on a big 16G. that's what you can do with the proper back-up mods. what kind of tires did you use to hit that unbeilevable 1.5? i have a friend who builds bulletproof tranny's with evo gears shift forks and different ratios and he has never mustered out a 1.5 with street tires. i am sure he will hit it with slicks though.

hooking that hard with vht on the tires cant be good on the drivetrain. btw, where can you get vht? lol. i might try that only on 1 run when i get my new turbo installed. and some ***** to the wall shifting. lol. i can believe the stock smic could go that fast. but 118 is the highest i have ever heard of goin on the stock smic. did you modify the endtanks? with a decent sized fmic you will gain 3-4 mph. right now i am running a mkiv toyota supra stock smic. almost 3X the size of the stocker. 496cubic inches. i was the 1st dsmer to do this. it is a custom install and adds crazy power. u can find one for unser 100 bux.
that is not the fastest on the stock smic. i believe mike murphy at SST racing in his talon went 120 with the stocker. he is also the one who tuned the car and who put the computer in the thing.

i think i might try that vht trick. sprintmax, i have .002in. of play in the crank(WHICH IS PERFECTLY NORMAL). nice try. engine holding 17-18 inches HG, and 175-185 compression in all cylinders, and 2% leakdown. 82K. WHAT NOW BIOTCH!

17-18 is perfectly normal. does not suck one bit. 20 in hg's is impossible. it came brand new from the factory with 19 in. Well, unless you have a 3angle valve job it will seal better and give you more vacuum at idle.
