For those who bought the Cattman Poly. Motormounts....

Did you notice much a difference in wheel hop.
At aprox what mileage did you change them at?
Any negative effects to the morotmounts, I heard that sometimes there is more cabin vibration or noise is this true?
In your opinion was it worth it. Thanks

Stopped the engine from moving, but probably becaues of the Quaife differential I still have wheel hop. This is mostly because of my stock suspension that still has play. If I dropped the car it would disappear.

There is more noise and vibration in the cabin of the car. Whether this bothers you or not depends on you. You can combat the noise by turning up the idle. Clutch chatter is even more pronounced.

I noticed a SIGNIFICANT reduction in wheel hop...to almost none. I now have the mounts out of my car and am selling them for financial reasons (I had to pay to get my tranny re-built). With the mounts out of my car now, I really notice how much they did for me...I get wheel hop on my launch AND on my 1-2 shift.

Vibration is more pronounced just like Eric said.

If anyone is interested in this mounts..drop me a line...they were only on my car for approx 2K miles...and are nicely broken in so they vibrate less.

I have the Cattman/Place poly motor mounts, Quaife ATB differential, Stillen aluminum flywheel, JWT Stage 2 clutch, Unorthodox Racing UDP, Stillen FSTB, Suspension Technique springs, Tokico struts, O-Z Racing Monte Carlo 16x7.5 rims, Michelin Pilot XGT-Z4 225/50/16 tires. When I race, I use Kosei K-1 15x6 wheels and BFG Drag Radial 205/50 tires up front.

Wheel hop? I don't got no stinking wheel hop!
Traction? I got loads of traction... and a drenched cupholder.
Cornering? It can make a U-turn inside a virgin quail.
Vibration? Yes, it's noticeable, but not bad. If women like Harleys, they're gonna love these motor mounts...
Noise? Some, but don't adjust idle speed. Adjust stereo volume.
Clutch chatter? What's that gotta do with motor mounts? My clutch only chatters when I goof-up my footwork.
The motor mount installation was OK. It didn't line up perfectly, but a little "persuasion" was all it took to overcome that.
Worth it? By itself, I don't know. As part of an integrated approach to improving front wheel traction? My opinion: You gotta have it.

Have fun.

that's so funny! especially the quail one! I'm working from the top down: FSTB, RSTB, RSB first, later coilovers, then WSP sub-frame stuff.

Don't forget [lighter] wheels and [lower-profile] tires in there somewhere, probably before the coil-overs. Good luck.

if they get rid of wheel hop and will fit a 2k2 i MIGHT be insteresed. but won't they make the car feel rougher though. decisions, decisions.

as long as they didn't change the engine mount positions on the 2K2 they should work....they will make your car a little rougher though...
