Why would you do this? I've seen 5th gen eBay projectors and hood thrown onto a 4th gen and it just didnt look right.

Not sure if the roundness of the 5th gen front end would look good with the squarish 4th gen rear end..

I believe you can convert to the later model (97-99) front end, but that's about it.

NJ3ndri, I see that you're local - let me know if you ever need any work done.

Ay what's wrong with a '95-'96 front end? I love mine.

Work with it like I did. I have '97-'99 headlights/corners (soon to be J30 retro with white CCFL angel eyes in black housed '95-'96 headlights with clear glass lenses ), clear bumper lights and a front lip.

sounds like a nice lil 4th gen your getting now! and the 95-96 front end is only ugly if its stock! some nice lights and fogs make it look pretty good...

and yes you can! pretty easy... lights, grille, and bumper... dunskies! but if you do that you might as well do the 97-99 rear swap too since the trunk and tails on the 95-96 suck!

n Chris, I think your one of few that still rep the 95-96 that actually look good!

a lil ot, for the ccfl's use one of those computer fans with the halo around them and wire it up! theyve got like 5 different colors instead of just white! would look pretty hawt! whos doin your retro?

Don't do it! Looks ugly! The lights just don't go well with the 4th gen body.

Oh yes man I'll always rep the '95-'96 front end, I'll never sell out and get the '97-'99 front or rear.

But nah I don't need 5 colors, only need white to match with my LEDs in the corners. You won't even see the portion that doesn't light up because of my eyelids. Bought the headlights pre-retro'd and I'm finishing up the work.

for some reason the 95 96s dont look too agressive you know. maximas are sick cars but it takes a little good looks to impress the people who dont know anything about cars. put a max next to a is300..dumb blond is gonna wet her panties for the lexus....the funny part is the max will eat that little turd driven by some d bag jock whose parents bought it for him lol

I don't know if I am a hardcore 97-99 front end only kind of guy, but I like BOTH the 95-96 and 97-99 front end. Each one has its unique style, I really like the way the grille looks on the 95-96 but I don't like the bumper (i.e. fog light holes and such)

That's actually pretty funny-looking, as in of a humorous appearance. I'd put some angry-looking eyelashes on it and teeth in the bumper duct. Give other drivers a good laugh.

Hmmm....... since we are on the topic of putting different front ends on our cars. Is it possible to put a 240SX front end on our 4th gens? Maybe just headlights and the hood and possibly fenders too. And yes, this is a serious question.

which 240sx? S13 would be hard to do because of the popup headlights, that alone would be alot of fabricating.

a S13 Silvia front end or S14 might work though, S14 is more rounded though

I've seen an S15 Silvia front on a 4th gen. Didn't look too bad but I would never do that.

Yeah, there is a 1997 S14 in my college that the school shop uses for practice

And I was parked right next to it one day and I looked at our 4th Gens and the 240 and there were a lot of similar things. Like the headlights look almost the same as ours except its more slanted and has projectors but more or less similar.

I don't know but I've always thought our 4th gens look really similar to the S14 and now that I've seen them side by side, they actually do look similar in many ways. But the main thing I was thinking was that the 240SX looks awesome with body kits and so maybe if we could somehow fit those kits onto our cars... then...

I think I should just go out and buy a 240SX instead of trying to turn my car into a 240 haha.
