my girl complains because im so low and i cant park in the driveway, so i park on the street...." if you weren't so low you could park in the driveway" im like idc

shes always complaining because i always drive like an d!ck

and she says id rather spend time with my "car" and my "car friends" then spend time with her lol

and this is my favorite....i park the other day and she swings the door open like shes trying to knock someone out with it and it gets stuck on the side walk and scrapes the underneath of the door...i had to pull up on the door to get it to close..... so i look at her and say what are you retarded? she says its my fault.....im like how? she says if you weren't so worried about being low and "showing" off you could just park in the driveway like everyone else around here. then she proceeds to call my car a F*cking joke....i was like speechless. FML!

^This.

When it gets to that point, the disrespect will just keep getting worse and worse. Before long she'll be telling you that you need to sell your **** or GTFO.

Best to pack her up and tell her to hit the trail before all hell breaks loose.

Ouch. I think I woulda been done with her after that one. She has no respect at that point.

My girl wears those belts with all that fancy spikey stuff and jewels or whatever on it sometimes. I remember she sat down in the passenger seat and tore the leather. She tuned to look at me and immediately busted out in tears and started appologizing. My seats werent in the best condition to begin with in the first place so it didnt bother me. Now she takes off her belt each and everytime she gets in my car.

i agree man. my wife knows how well i like to keep my car and no matter what i do with it, she knows how particular i am and if she does something even closes the door a little harder than usual, she'll say sorry. that chick sounds like problems and your car is too effin sexy to endure anymore careless uncaring hurt to it. time to tell her to straighten the f up, or gtfo

I have my kids well trained so that they wait until Daddy says it's OK to open the car door, and which side of the car to get out of. You can't eat in the car, or put your feet anywhere but on the mats. Needless to say, we don't take my Maxima out as a family much. That's what the Honda is for.

In the theme of this post, my oldest has often hit me with those big, puppy-dog eyes, and pouts, "You should play with your daughter instead of spending time with your car."

I just tell her, "But that's why we got you a sister."

I have to admit, this is my favorite in the whole thread.

Man... it's been so long. I can't remember the last time I actually did that with a new car, but I certainly remember the feeling.

Nice quote.

Only complaint the wife has is how super touchy the clutch and gas are when she drives it. But to her defense she drives a Jeep Wrangler 6 speed which is the complete opposite.

Your girl has a point. If you really feel the need to race your car on public roadways, do it when you're by yourself. It's one thing to wreck the car and kill/maim yourself because you have nobody to blame BUT yourself. But to take an innocent life with you...or worse...survive and find out that your passenger didn't make it, is just wrong.

Is the potential lifetime's amount of guilt really worth showing some "bro" you've got the better car?

Totally agree on that one bud. I dont race unless I'm riding solo, I couldnt live with the fact knowing i lived and someone else didnt.

I guess I got it lucky. My wife doesn't complain about any of my maxima's.

Okay...she had one:

She got pissed that I totaled the 4th gen s/c'er. That was 'her' car.

as well of course

now i can feel all self righteous about myself, thanks i guess
i actually drive pretty slow and low(sprint drop and old **** tockio blues)
being a delivery driver i need to keep my record
squeeky clean and very much no dui's or racing tickets needed
besides my insurance is very basic and even though i do alot of

First day of ownership, I pull up to give the girlfriend a ride.

GF: "What happened to the BMW?"

With my family running a dealership, she's use to me switching cars a lot, but she loved the Bimmer. I love the Maxima a lot more.

The only real complaint i have had is that i should of kept it stock.

and i drive it to fast.

And that the next one has to be a 5speed or 6speed and i dont get to touch it cause it will be her car. But hopefully it will already have a vq35 in it this time around. As long as i have a 4th gen to mod i will have no complaints

I guess my GF is one of the exceptional woman that mind her own business so to speak. She never really complained about my maxima, maybe it's because the car has been sitting in my garage for 4 years now... lol

But seriously at some point she though that I was putting to much money on the max, but once she saw the price of the M5 I was looking for, she kind of figured out that the money spend on the maxima was pocket change compare to buying the M5 and modding it, therefore she understand that bashing my works on the maxima would lead her no where. Working on the car is my hobby and when I do that I'm still at home, doing something that doesn't jeopardize our relationship family life.

I guess Im just lucky to have a gf that loves my Maxima. She supports everything I do but I do get the occasional "I think you spend more on it than on me" line. But the heated seats are a plus in the winter

Women can be so stupid when it comes to cars. I admit I know nothing about modding or how to do it myself, but I am willing to learn (I'm a girl BTW). I should already know how to do these things or already had my car and driver's license longer ago considering my love affair with cars, but money gets in the way of a lot of things. I've been loving cars ever since I was like 5 years old. I used to know all the specs about certain cars, more than some of the boys in my class at the time. Then I forgot it all as college began and I had to learn nursing. There's still little Hot Wheels all over the place and if I'm in the store and see one that I think looks really nice, I get it. I really need to stop that though because those little things take up space.

Well, I guess its the same thing with sports. I hate sports. That makes me the girly-girl. I live it live at the venue though, just not on TV.

"What are you doing out in the garage for all that time, anyway?"

"Why are you spending money on those shiny bolts when it's under the hood and no one will see it?"

"Those titanium washers cost HOW MUCH?"
