warranty question
I've recently purchased my first car: a '99 Infiniti I30t; however, I have unfortunately found a problem with the shift lock mechanism. I did a little research and and found it to be described by the following service bulletin:
Service Bulletin Number: ITB99009A
Date of Bulletin: 0006
Component: POWER TRAIN: TRANSMISSION: AUTOMATIC: LEVER AND LINKAGE: FLOOR SHIFT
Summary: SOME VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION MAY EXHIBIT A SITUATION WHERE THE SHIFT HANDLE IS HARD TO MOVE OR OPERATE.
I'm assuming it will be covered under the factory powertrain warranty (5yrs/60k miles)?
I just want to be sure before I visit my nearest dealer; if it's not free it's really not worth the long trip. Thanks in advance.
