Chiming in. JDM 350z cams (JWT S1 spec). Here's a vid before I installed the exhaust so you might be able to hear it as the sound is all motor with stock exhaust.
(Vid removed as its unaccesible, will update tonight)

thats beautiful, nice and smooth with a deep throaty sound. what did it put down?
Only 200whp 183lb/tq. But that was untuned, stock exhaust (so it wasnt flowing well) and got a CEL the same day. This year Im going back for a tune, added Greddy Evo exhaust, PFTB, NWP Spacers and BBMAF.

With cams and all the other stuff, I bet you'd have benefited from a 3"

I'm going to look up sound clips of the Cattman 3" exhaust to see how it sounds with Headers.

Right, I Assume that is with adjusting both intake and exhaust cams the same direction. How about say advancing the intake cams and retarding the exhaust cams. Would that work the same way?

Advancing the intake cam will gain you lowend/midrange, rougher idle (more overlap), and could lose top end. I've seen a lot of Z's that run full advance (20 degrees) from 3000-4500 or so, then go down to around -5 degrees retarded by 6500 for optimal power.
Thought so, my idle has never sounded that deep but it makes sense with the nonequal length Y-pipe. My car was quieter with the non equal length 3" Y-pipe that I had on for a while. The cattman Y with equal length runners does some neat things for sound, if you like the higher pitched noises.

IDK, my setup is Cattman gen3 headers 2.5 megan resonated testpipe and 2.5 Cattman catback. My set up is super quiet. Im thinking of going with a 3" catback just for the tone alone. My setup is a lil pitchy but not raspy at all.
