budgetexhaust.com f-pipe

has anyone used the budgetexhaust.com f-pipe?...how does it fit, perform and so on? Does budgetexhaust.com make a complete system for the 4th gen max's? I tried emailing the contact on the web site but have not heard back...are they still in business even?

the price seems like a great deal compared to others out there even if the performance isn't the absolute best. i honestly am looking for a cheap alternative to replace my badly rotted stock f-pipe as opposed to increasing performance....and really my entire system should be replaced before too long....I plan to keep this car only until I can afford a newer max next year! Anyway, I am open to exhaust system suggestions......

Thanks,
John

as far as i know maxima exhaust consists of:

1) Headers - I dont know any aftermarket ones, they are pretty good stock and there isnt really much room for larger ones
2) Y-pipe - Budget makes one, so do Stillen and Warpspeed
3) Catalytic converter - Rangom technologies makes one
4) Cat-back - Apexi, Warpspeed, Greddy, Stillen. HKS makes an axel-back i believe (only rear section), Courtesy nissan and stillen make a B-pipe, which goes between the cat and the rear section.

I have never heard of an F pipe, although the Y-pipe *kinda* looks like an F if you look at it right....

Email them and find out where it goes, it is probably just a Y-pipe mislabeled

Headers

The F-Pipe is the Y-Pipe in this case.
There were the NZ produced headers that emax95 bought. He found, further confirming Don in Texas' findings, that for NA motors, there's not much power to gain through headers.
Boosted applications such as Stillen V1/V2 or the upcoming Maxximum Tuning Powerdyne or LudeSpeed turbo applications may be able to benefit.

oh, this is multinational question. I think it does look more like an F than a Y. But you are going to confuse thousands of dumb americans by calling it that. I bought a Warpspeed, I love it, I would recommend it.

Y or F pipe summary

Probably to be fair about it:

Stillen makes mandrel bent cold rolled steel jet coated Y pipes (90 day warranty I believe)
Cattman has mandrel bent 304 stainless Tig welded Y pipes (2 year warranty I believe) made for him
Budget makes non mandrel bent Y pipes using Canadian domestic MIG welded 304 stainless, and 409 stainless (1 year warranty I believe)

WarpSpeed Performance makes the following Y pipes using only domestic material made in the USA for the gen 3 and 4 Maxima's (gen 5 shortly):

Mandrel bent 304 stainless TIG welded Y pipes (2 year warranty)
Mandrel bent 304 stainless MIG welded Y pipes (2 year warranty)
Mandrel bent aluminized steel MIG welded Y pipes (4 year no rust through warranty plus 2 year std warranty)
Non mandrel bent aluminized steel MIG welded (4 year no rust through warranty plus 2 year std warranty)

Ours are the quietest and outflow all the rest, we personally feel even our non mandrel bent pipes will outperform our competition and because we use the higher quality made in the USA domestic steel we are comfortable offering a 4 year no rust through warranty. From $299 to $199. Shipping only $15 and gaskets included.

(we also offer TIG welded aluminized steel Y pipes as well, most of you probably didn't know that you can TIG weld aluminized steel too)
