a lil help please?

what are the differences?
i'm asking because i know i have a leak in my exhaust and i'm gonna have it fixed, so i was gunna get a y-pipe but i heard about all tthese other ones (dunno if i should do it now or after winter.....should i let the salt finish up the old one or just go for a new one now, by the way?)
