Carsdirect.com and buying a 2k1 SE
#1
Ok, i'm in the ballpark of riding myself of my 97 and purchasing a brand new 2k1 se (fully loaded except the cd changer) Now my dealer has one of these but wants 29-30 grand. Think if I bring in the carsdirect.com price of
$27,139 they would sell for that?

Probably give it a shot and if they say no,
then just leave them your # and say if you change your mind heres my #,and if they don't call you within a few days either try it out at another dealer or just buy if from carsdirect.

Don't just go to one dealer. Go to a couple. One of them will most likely match or beat the CarsDirect price.
I've taken the CarsDirect price for a Maxima GXE to two dealerships. One matched the price, the other beat it by $200. They don't want to lose your business. If they say that the CarsDirect price is too low, tell them why should I buy from you(dealershop) when I can save money from CarsDirect. And tell them that you've done your research and that there are many web sites offering prices at invoice and that everybody buys at or around invoice price these days.
Just make sure that after matching the price, they don't add on bogus fees. REMEMBER, the CarsDirect price already includes the Destination and Advertisement charges. The only other money you should pay for is the vehicle registration fee and tax. Good luck.
