a few more HID pics

on my mom's 96 Accord
I have a kit made for a 9006 bulb - projector, but I tossed it on my mom's car (the Accords use a reflective lense) just to see how it looks.
<img src="http://www.cyberhosts.net/~gotrice/temp/kit01.jpg">
the Honda connectors have reversed polarity, so I used the conversion kit that's included to reverse it. Nissans are opposite, so the stock connector goes directly into the ballast. The wire from the ballast goes into the HID bulb (red connector). The one with the wire loom is the reverse polarity connector.
<img src="http://www.cyberhosts.net/~gotrice/temp/kit02.jpg">
the one with the blue tab (right) is where the stock connector normally would go.

well, I guess I know the reason why they have two separate bulbs - one for projector and one for reflective lenses. you can see how greenish/yellowish it looks. Shingles mentioned this in one of our emails.
I'll have more pics once the reflective-style bulb arrives early next week.
But... you can see how much of a difference the HIDs make over the PIAA SuperWhites.

Hmm... so there is a yellow tint... I think there are two batches of bulbs from what I have found out.. the second batch of the D2S bulbs are yellowish...
Hope the R bulbs are too yellow....

I don't have a tripod, so the night shots will be very blurry (slower shutter speed).

No, the bulb glare guard should stay. The HID bulb is the same length as the halogen bulb. It just looks longer because the PIAA is tilted downward.
