For what it's worth: Many ocean going vessels have 3-note fog horns. The resulting harmonic chord produced by these ships carries *much farther* than the single-note tone of other vessels. For a horn designed for automotive use, the resulting 3-note tone may not necessarily be LOUDER than a 1-tone or 2-tone horn, but it will produce a much more penetrating (i.e. attention-grabbing) tone. At the very least, I think the installation of a 3-note horn will greatly reduce your chances of colliding with a freighter. HA!

For those asking about cost, check out http://catalog.com/susq/index.htm
1MAX2NV posted it in the "For Sale" forum, and they have the best prices I have seen.

hey brandon
I've got them, actually i got the ghetto brand from autozone, but they all use the same compressor so i figure they are all just knockoffs of eachother. Anyway, they work great. I got the triple. If you get them, there is an easier way to install than the usual method. Just bolt the compressor to the top of the relay box behind the driver side headlight, and mount the trumpets on the plastic shield under the front bumper. Works good for me, and i didn't have to make a bracket + the horns are in a good spot to be heard. Also i skipped the relay and just ran a jump wire to the stock horn. I did have to jump up to a 20 amp fuse on the horn though, but this hasn't caused any trouble.

cost
it was about the same, but without shipping. The double was like 25, the tripple was like 35. Either advance auto parts or autozone, cant remember which, has a web cupon for like 25% off and both of these places cary the ghetto brand. I think mine is by a company named blazer, but they're all the same.
