which would you choose?

1) JWT ECU
2) Level Ten Performance Transmission Kit(a Stage I rebuild)
3) NOS(plus all the necessary accessories)

Or forget the performance mod and go for looks such as:

1) new HU
2) new speakers
3) JL Audio stealthbox
4) GC coilovers
5) Stillen kit/Shadow's upcoming kit(plus Type II wing)
6) new paintjob(probably repaint it superblack)

So which would you choose? Performance or looks? Mind you, I'm coming off having a SC, so even with the performance mod(even NOS), I don't if it's good enough. For example, with a 100shot of NOS with my automagic, that would get me into what...high 13s to low 14s? That would suck. However, I heard that having 100shot of NOS I might get better numbers than a SC(10psi)?

I'm stuck between the two, I don't know which road to take.

Why no more SC ?

Get NOS if you MUST get rid of the SC.

Unless you're drag racing or tryin to improve 1/4, Level 10 won't do anything.

I'd get NOS. I want NOS so I can use it at 60mph and up. And at that speed, you're already in 3,4th gear and Level 10 won't do anything. But if you're tryin to improve 1/4 mile, I guess Level10 is ok too.

By the way, if it didn't sound clear enough, I'm getting rid of the SC. So, I won't have the SC anymore soon.

I'd get the level 10 tranny rebuild. Stronger lighter cluthes and all new seals valves etc. Is nice. From there i'd smack my self around(if I where you) cuz your getting rid of the s/c.

I'm considering the Level Ten rebuild because I think my tranny is near its end. Plus, it should help out the automagic in performance a bit.

Craig, do you have a job, if not GET ONE.

I work my butt off for years and have saved up quite a bit, so I have a bit of luxury to spend. Hoever, that saving is starting to get lower and lower. I better watch myself.

Ohh... old memories. You are now in stage 1 of the conversion out of your car. Once you get rid of the SC you can't even look at the car anymore, you will just hate it. Kinda damned if you do and damned if you don't. But of course, this is just my strange opinion .

Good luck and if I was to choose from the stuff you listed I would get a body kit.

If you're seriously interested in performance get a 5-spd... I hate to say it but unless you can afford to get a full Level Ten rebuild and then all the performance hardware a 5-spd is a much more affordable way to go... you're replacing clutches instead of transmissions. If you're happy with the speed of your car (relatively, no one is ever fully happy) then go for the body kit.

If I could get a 5spd, I wouldn't be asking these questions. I was going to get me a '90+ 5spd TTZ.

Definitely Tranny Rebuild

the kit, if you live in the northeast or a place where it mite snow in the next three months, wait till summer to get it. i want to get the level 10 tranny rebuild sometime soon. i think theyll install it for you and everything for about $1100 or $1200. its worth it though if it saves my tranny in the long run. around .5 secs off your 0-60 time isnt that bad either.

Not if you know how to drive it. My front bumper is about 3" off the ground, and I never scrape it.

Mike, why are you selling S/C?

I think you should do up your tranny if that is on its last lag. What good are looks & NOS if the car doesnt have gears.

If you like perf, go for NOS. W/ 100 shot & depenind on mods, you will be low 14's to high 13's. I'll let you know how i do w/ traction now & lighter rims.

NOS also does produce a lot more torque. I will also be dynoing soon @ Bullish Racing.

I'm selling the SC because I was going to get rid of the car. However, now I'm going to keep the car. The buyer already paid me, so I have to honor that. Besides, selling the SC help me get my debt down a bit.

NOS w/100 shot and only be in low 14s to high 13s? See what I mean? Not very impressive if you ask me. Although, it's better than nothing right? Even with the bolt ons(minus the SC)I got, a '02 stock 6spd Maxima will have me for lunch. That's sad.

So, I think I'm going with the tranny rebuild first and then see what I want to do.

Tranny rebuild if your best bet.

After, do consider NOS again. If you get the L10, you going to get a high stall TC? If you do, that basic mods, & 100 shot will bring you to 13.7-13.6. You also have to remember, we are auto.

You will not get eatten by a stock 2k2 6spd on 100 shot. That is a promise. There will always be cars faster then you, its sad but true.

I know a stock '02 6spd will not eat me up if I have the 100 shot of NOS. I said if I just have bolt ons(no NOS, no SC), a stock '02 6spd will eat me up.

I will consider NOS because I'm not too high on looks. I think my car looks good enough as it is. I don't think I would get a bodykit because I live in pothole city of New Orleans. I will get the spoiler that Shadow is working on though.

I'm eager to see the result of your dyno. It will somewhat give me an idea whether or not to get NOS.
