I disagree. Cloth seems to have wear patterns along where hte butt is and on the sides. Cloth being cloth will wear down. Also Cloth seems to hold smells more than leather.

Just an opinion. Cost is the only factor that would keep me from leather. Also for those who have to wear suits to work, leather is more gentler on expensive clothes as there is not as much shear forces when getting in and out.

Just my opinion.

Heated cloth seats

I didn't want leather because we typically have a lot of windy -40 degree days in the winter and I HATE the cold. I plan on reupholstering my seats eventually in a sportier looking cloth.

One big *** vote for NeoSuede cloth.

If comparing leather with pre-5.5th Gen cloth, then definately leather though.

I had cloth and got leather from leatherseats.com, I think thats who it was in an org GD some time ago. Luv them to death. It gets hot in Cali in summer and its hot as heck. My car temp went up at least 15 degree in summer. Winter is no problem. I luv the way they look though.

Here's the reason why I hate cloth: (lol)

when you are driving for a long time, let's face it, your back starts swatting and all this nasty stuff gets absorbed by your seat. With leather seats all you have to do is wash it but it aint that easy with cloth...

Leather all the way! When I got my Max it had cloth. I swapped in the heated leather seats and love them the heat is great in the winter. I have some custom sheepskins, I like to put on in the summer so I dont stick to the leather

Cloth vs Leather...

I'm tired cleaning my cloth seats, in other words I just can't stand ceaning any seats in my car, if I would have leather I wouldn't worry about all that. But on the other side the leather seats just suck during summer and winter. When you get in the car during 90+ derees you just can't seat straight, the seats are just sooo hot they'll burn. In the winter it's the same story, you sit in those seats and they're just so unbelivebly "frozen" that the heated seats just won't help for certain time.
I voted not sure, cause I have pros and cons with both, but if you want aftermarket then go with cloth.

i like em both, coth is harder to keep clean, thats the thing, keep it clean and its nice. leather just feels and looks good and is easy to keep clean.

My personal opinion:

Cloth is more comfortable, but leather is more classy and elegant looking.

i voted leather as well. when you take care of it with cleaning and conditioning, it holds its look well. i do agree with many of the previous posts though, if you are buying new get cloth and do aftermarket leather. your style choices are greater and the price is lower.

bare leather = sweaty ***.

i have seat covers on mine. leather also tends to slip you around the seat a lot but, nothing i can't live with.

it's easier to maintain and a must for dusty conditions.

just get it for the resale value, but you can't beat cloth for comfort. though if you get a nice cover for the leather it's all good.

I am partial to leather because my car came equipped with them when purchased; I was looking for leather seats when I started looking for a Max to purchase. I especially like the heated bonus (it comes in handy on those cold Wisconsin mornings)

well who told you to drive nekkid?

Cloth can feel just as cold in winter. Heated seats FTW.
Summer, um personally, my shorts are rarely if even possible above my knees. Window shade FTW.

Leather is so simple to clean. Just wipe once with a good leather protectant. Done. Cloth will hold stains and smells harder.

It's really a personal preference. Now a better question is do you get cloth and upgrade? On a used car, I doubt leather will increase the price enough to notice. On a new car, you will likely miss out of other features you wanted.

I prefer leather myself. It's just more comfortable, and it looks better. Unless it's hot outside, sweaty back does kinda suck.

i def. like leather...how do aftermarket leather seats look/feel in comparison to stock leather seats? (I'm a fan of OEM/stock looking seats). Also, what about door inserts, what is typically done about them seeing as they're cloth as well?

cloth is more comfortable, leather is more of a bling status.

Just dont let your friends eat in your car anymore, its easy.
