EMISSIONS ADVICE
EMISSIONS ADVICE
heres the results from the test done in feb. id like to retest this week.
current codes:
P0141 o2 sensor heater malfunction
P0136 o2 sensor circuit malfunction
P0325 knock sensor
P0400 egr flow malfunction
EDIT. just took car for a drive after clearing codes and replacing the gas cap. P0400 EGR code is now gone. But the other three are remaining. Did the gas cap fix that issue? I'm guessing the one they had on there from the previous test in that time had become faulty? Should I not bother replacing the EGR Valve... my mechanic says its a pain in the *** to do anyways.
I will keep driving it and clearing it and see if it comes up again when the car is restarted.
since then the car was sitting with previous owner, this week, im going to replace the rear 02 to a new one, and egr valve to the one from my old car.
should i do the knock sensor/should i replace it before the test or will it matter? the place im doing the test doesnt care if the CEL is on. but i could also clear the codes beforehand. replacing the rear o2 should fix both the 02 codes i assume.
should i clean the Throttle Body? Or do you think I can get away without doing it given these values below. the car isnt plated so i cant do much with it right now. other than some short runs to the store ive been doing with plates not registered to the vehicle
and to the mechanics and back. which is why i dont think i could successfully utilize the use of CRC Garauntee'd to Pass in the tank. (current which is at half)
im just hoping it passes.
note all the items on the right say N/A and the gas cap pressure test is a PASS

Not sure what O2 sensor your PO codes relate to, but check the connection, its likely the culprit with a circuit and heater code simultaneously. The KS code might be a fluke caused by the O2 issue.
Looked them up, and they are both for the After cat sensor. Climb under your car and follow the wires to the grommet pull the grommit and plastic piece out along with the connector. Seperate and clean with brake clean or carb cleaner or whatever you have. Is it a new universal sensor that may have been connected wrong?

the new o2 is a BOSCH brand. universal.
im getting it put in tomorrow so i'll report back with what codes come up after that. then i think perhaps i should just clean the TB which ive never done but ill give it a shot... and then take the test and hope for the best lol. now that the EGR code is gone without even swapping the EGR so i might have better luck. i fixed a crack in the exhaust near the muffler and swapped the gas cap. dont know which fixed the issue. but anyway it just sucked that i cant use the garaunteed to pass **** and run a full tank thru since no plates

If you haven't replaced your o2 sensors in awhile they may be bad that's why the code. When you get them replaced make sure you get an oil change, have good spark plugs, as well as a fresh air filter and retest.
