Cold air box

Saw this.

http://www.weapon-r.com/coldairbox.html

Weapon R seems to develop stuff for the maxima. Maybe someone with a Stillen or Weapon R Dragon intake, can convice them to prototype a similar setup.

Hmmm...interesting.

Too bad they dont make one for the Max. I wonder what kind of gains can be expected.

weapon r is worse than stillen. their clothes-dryer-tube ram air kit is $300 on top of their $250 popcharger. I doubt you will see big gains with this. The thing is that air will still circulate and for the $1500 they'll want for this you might as well get a pr cai

since you already drilled through your fender i don't think you will have much of a reason for switching to this.

Well since our CAI setup has the filter OUTSIDE the engine bay, heat wouldn't be an issue anyway.

I thought he wanted to switch down to a pop with the box. can't imagine where you'd put it though.

Yea. The cold air intakes we have should be able to match or beat that box idea.

Cattman is looking into making a cold air box setup. I'd stay away from Weapon-R..... they use foam filters.

Intake

Dallas and I already offer a cold air shield for the Jeep Gran Cherokee. We have tossed around the idea of relocating the battery in the trunk, and using the extra space for a shield set up. If people are interested we may make a few. No idea about h/p gains. Give Dallas or me an e-mail if interested. It's possible that it might be more work for less gains.

Does anyone have the temp of the air using a Pop Charger and a CAI? I remember a while back on the yahoo board that someone may have posted that the temps very very close. But I don't remember.
