Thanks, it came out fairly good but something is not right with the nikon. I had to do a factory reset after i randomly changed a bunch of settings while in full manual mode so i could take some 30 second exposures of some lightning.

Do you have photoshop? Is it free? I tried downloading it once but there were not a lot of editing options IIRC so I don't think you get many options with a free version. If you have it, I'd be curious to see what that barn pic would look like with some editing.

 

I have photoshop cs5.1 64bit. Not the free version. I think you can do more with the editing suite in photobucket than you can with the free version of photoshop. I already tinkered with the barn photo. I mainly just use it to resize pictures but have figured out how to do a few other things too.

now that you mention it and I put the 2 side by aide, I do see a huge difference. That does look a lot better. I'm still trying to figure out the whole picture taking thing. Something I've always been interested in but have never really had the time to figure out. Thanks for the pic edit.

There used to be wooden duck crossing signs at freeman lake. I guess they were not maintained and rotted out and were not replaced. Next best thing i seen was a fire truck crossing.

Hmm that's an interesting challenge...

 

I was thinking something that is used out in the boonies by people surrounded by corn. They are primarily used around here to haul large amounts of water to fill a cistern tank at the house for water use. But on the farms around here they use them to move pesticides and fertilizer mixes instead. They are usually chained down in front of a TSC or other similar store that sells farm stuff.

 

Looks like i get to do this one too.

Please do. About right now is when my day is over usually and i can sit down and relax Monday through Thursday. I take care of my elderly mother's meals and keeping her house atleast somewhat clean after work. She has accidents on the way to the bathroom sometimes. Those are the days like today that suck.


I could just say screw it and pick another challenge. But i like to take pictures and it is a good excuse to so. Even with my ****ty schedule.

 

Well, I don't know of any rose bushes around here and especially don't know any that would be in bloom right now so I'm out of this one.

 

I have a rose bush in my front driveway...but I have no maxima here! Dammit! Will be back home tomorrow, I'll shoot the pic then. Been really busy with tryin' to find a new bumper for the wife's car...rear ended someone in her Outback this morning.

Does it even get hot there? It has already hit 90 here this spring. I hope it is not a preview of what is to come this summer. It is back into fat boy friendly temperatures right now. That is easy one for around here. Just have to drive around town. Or just park over by the McDonald's drive thru on Tuesday between 4pm and 8pm when they have their hamburgers at 49cents.

It does get warm here normally. Although it has not gotten out of the 50's yet which is weird. I am still using my wood stove for heat at night if that tells you anything. On top of being cold, it has been raining a lot here too.
