Governor = Gone

Now I don't have to worry about stock Accords and Sebrings and Galants and Civics outrunning me on the highway anymore. I took it to 120 today and let me say it was NIIIIIICE. Have a nice day.

What did you do to remove the govenor? My ranger hits its speed limiter at 102mph (which is probably 91mph). I guess I'll have to draft my sister's mx6 to see if I can break the 105mph barrier .

I cut the tranny speed sensor wire on the ECU harness. Its a pink wire with a blue stripe but WATCH OUT... there are TWO identical looking pink wires with blue stripes. they are within about a half inch of eachother. I cut the wrong one the first time, and disabled my fuel tank temp sensor (whatever the hell that is). The correct wire is very very thin, probably 22 guage. The incorrect wire is probably 18 guage (still thin). They are both on the right side of the harness. The correct wire is to the LEFT of the other one. So its the leftmost pink wire with the blue stripe on the RIGHT half of the harness. Got it?

Credit goes to Ben and Sprint (what the hell is Sprint's real name anyways? Doug?)

As for Sprints name... uhh... we'll leave that for him to answer.

Isn't "CEL light" redundant? It's like saying "ECM module" or "NASA Administration".

That's what I was thinking...

For the record, my fastest run was 15.25. However, the MPH wasn't on the slip, so I don't count that one.

I really think if I took out all the junk and CDs and stuff and run with even less gas and click my heels 3 times, I could get 15.0xx next time.

Not if you put in a switch instead of just cutting the wire.
