tough question - black lining between window and door
the hard black lining that rests between the windows and the door is starting to crack and peel. I'm sure everybody has had this problem at one time or another if you've had a older car. Nothing seems to stop this from ageing over time. Where can i get a replacement for these parts and what are they called?

You can get them at a dealership parts dept. I forgot what they are called, but I'm sure they will know what you are talking about, esp. if you go and show them.

BUT I WANT YOU TO ANSWER MY QUESTION, INCLUDING PART NUMBERS AND COST. IN ADDITION, YOU NEED TO COME FLY IN AND INSTALL THEM THIS WEEKEND!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Good job
wasn't there a way to just remove the black lining and reveal the color of the car underneath, and it looked pretty cool?

If I'm not mistaken I believe the part he is talking about is some sort of weather stripping and it would be a bad idea to remove that. Of course if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.

I think he means the b-pillar on the 4th gen, you can pull away the black trim and leave the pillar body color.

Just rip it off...
It takes alot of time because its stuck on there, but use some Goo-Gone and it will come off fine. Mine was ripping also, so I just took it off. I thought I would just leave it like this until I bought the black strips, but now I like them like this more. This link has a pic, not really focused on the pillars in particular, but atleast you can get an idea. BTW, Shadow was the first one to tell me this.
