Had a Little Fun w/ an Eclipse GT Tonight >>>

While I was out tonight, I had a little fun with an Eclipse GT.

I was on a one-laned road that branches off into two-lanes as you approach the intersection. While approaching the intersection, I notice there is a car in the left-hand lane, so I got into the right hand lane.

I looked over and noticed it was an Eclipse GT. The music was blasting and I think it was two girls, or a girl and a guy. All I know was the passenger was a girl. Anyway, they kept inching up so I figured they wanted to go.

When the light turned green, I accelerated a bit faster than normal. I got up to about 65mph (in a 40 zone), but the Eclipse didn't seem to want to go. After gaining a satisfying distance between me and the Eclipse, I let of to about 50 (now in a 45 zone). I guess I got the Eclipse driver mad by blowing them off at the intersection, so he/she decided to blow by me.

Well, this didn't make me very happy. I floored the car up to about 65mph, but we were forced to slow down for a sharp turn. After we got on another straight-away, we both floored it. The Eclipse in the left lane, me in the right. Up ahead the road merged into one lane. I got up to 85mph and blew by the Eclipse just before the road merged into one lane. My intake was screaming. I then had to slow down because there was a car in front of me, but the Eclipse tailgated me the rest of the way until I turned off. They must've been mad...I mean I blew by them at the last second.

Just thought I'd post my little story. Thanks for reading.

Later,
-Nick

Nope. This one was a maroon colored, and I think it may have been a convertible, but it was dark and I couldn't really see.

And for those of you in central NJ, this started at the light by Harry's Army and Navy (Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road). We crossed Route 130 and I blew by him right before the lanes merge at George Dye Road, but we were on Klockner Road.

Yeah. I usually don't speed much. If I do, not any more than 10mph over the limit. That really ticked me off though. I had to show him who was boss.

;p

Recently my friend got a 2001 Eclipse GT Spyder. It's a 3.0l V6 w/ 200 hp. I raced him in my 3rd gen, and lost...but only by about 2 carlengths!

So Then I got my 96 SE. Muhahaha....He started talkinhg crap, too...like "Man, you think that thing could hang with an eclipse? It's a four door! No Chance!" And that kinda stuff. So I nicely, politely challenged him to a race. We raced from the line, in an undeveloped road (It will soon be neighboorhood, but right now its just four miles of road in the woods w/ 2 lanes either way...In other words, perfect for racing.) We lined it up, and went. Dead even till the end of 1st, when I started slowly pulling. I pulled all through 2nd. I pulled hard at the beginning of third, and kept pulling, but not quite so quickly. Ended up beating him by about 2 carlengths.
