Okay, here's the whole enchilada...

The XVL was originally a concept car, mmm'kay? Nissan thought it was so great that they decided to make it the next Skyline(sedan, not GT-R). The Infiniti G35 is the US version of this Skyline. The 350Z is on this chassis as well. The Altima is based on a FWD version of this platform.
It has already been accepted that the next Maxima will share the same platform as the Altima. There is also speculation on a V8-powered G35. I was proposing that the next Maxima could simply be a Nissan-badged version of this G35 V8, since the Altima is basically a FWD G35. I mean, the Altima already has the same engine and chassis, right? Why make a second FWD G35?

I've heard rumors that the 350 will have an upgraded model, similar to what the max is doing now, that will either put in a V8, or go turbo. Any ideas?

I haven't heard anything concrete about a zippier Z, but it shouldn't be out of the question. I've also heard stuff about a stripper "350ZR" with less weight, bigger brakes, and bigger rolling stock.
Along with that, the next GT-R will be using the XVL platform too. You can even see the 350Z lines in the concept. That will definitely have a turbocharged VQ, and maybe the V8 in a higher end version. They might not put the V8 in the Z, since it would conflict with the GT-R a bit.
