How long before a second coat of wax?

I've got a day off and I'm going to wax the Max. I'm using Zymol car wax and cleaner wax (don't know the specific kind it's the stuff you can get at Wal-Mart and it's blue). Anyway I would like to put on a second coat. I'm pretty sure later that afternoon would be too soon, but how about 2 days later (very limited on time). Any thoughts??? I did a search and I didn't find anything specific about time between waxing. I think the bottle says wait a couple of weeks. Is there any harm in doing it sooner, and since it's cleaner wax will it defeat the purpose? thanks

Myself I usually let it sit for a few hours ( like 1 -3) just to let it harder then put it back on again.

Go get the real Zymol wax! That commercial crap you buy at Wal-Mart is nothing like true Zymol paste wax.

Depends on the brand

Usually 4 hrs to cure. It also depends on the outside temperature..

I checked out the site. Do you recomend the hand blend wax (Japon) or something else? I have a 96 pebble beige max with scratches of course.

The "www.thewaxtest.com" (before they rebuilt the page) agrees with you They and a few other sites (NSX site comes to mind) thought that the cheap walmart stuff does a BETTER job than some of the more expensive Zymol products out there

That has to hurt the revenue.

Well I'll see what 2 coates will do and go from there. Just got a new 7" orbital buffer (Sears), and I want to put it to the test. Thanks for the input.
