This is SM525V manufactured by Samsung

I used to have one in Korea.

everything is same as 4th gen, because Samsung automobile and Nissan are

belong to renault.

There is nothing special but I'm gonna take care of my max more...
I put 2 color LED turn signal light (1 LED has 2 color. this is kinda cool ha..) And I installed D.R.L. with 3W power LED metal block 6 of them.

Actually I really like this style.. haha

and Why there is samsung logo... um because as I know samsung bought

nissan's tech before nissan is belong to renault. and then nissan's economy

get worse Renault take over nissan in 2000 and in some reason in Korea (it is

related with hyundai, Kia, Dawoo) Samsung decided not to continue there

automotive business so Renault take over Samsung motor.

Ill be the objective one and say Im not a fan of it. It looks like it bred the US Maxima and the JDM Cefiro and splashed poor attempts at luxury on it. The exterior just DOES NOT flow in my eyes.

Apparently no one in this thread was here during the MEVI craze.

It was 10 years ago. Circa@2002

I still want a mevi actually....just cant find someone selling a complete kit either that or they wont respond. Not a fan of the complexity of the oovi nor do I need the xtra power on lowz RPM's that it gives over the mevi

If I wasn't so lazy I'd sell you mine. But that would require me removing it.

It is interesting how the headlights droop down into the bumper. Anyone know if that is functional or dumb design?

It uses a 95/96 rear.

I would venture to say that the Korean Maxima is based on the same platform 95/96 series US Maxima.

3 observations in particular bear that out:

Tweeters in pillar
Auto climate control
Taillights (they have this sort of 97-99 look to them, but like the 95/96, the indicator and reverse lights are on top)

Also, the VQ motor was a world engine. There was a VQ20DE, VQ25DE, and of course the VQ30DE.

Yeah, I'm a 4th gen connoisseur

Thought it would resemble a Maxima a bit more before looking at the pictures. Closer resemblance to it's other cousin, the Infiniti I30 / I35.

Outside of the US, the I30 IS the Maxima.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I know the SM520 is twins with my 95 Maxima. I've thought about buying one for my vacation house in Seoul.
