What about Anthracite or Gun Metal? It may look distinctive yet not the same run of the mill. White seems to "rice". I have chrome on my 98 sterling mist GLE.

Gunmetal would look real mean. White rims on a white car looks corny to mean, IMO.

You won't be able to find white rims that will match a pearl white car. it'll look strange IMO. Go with gunmetal or silver.

What i am gonna do is to powder coat my silver 18s that was on the 96. First i was thinking white because i think it would look clean (way to go sprite! ). but just like weasel said, it's a pain in the A$$ to match the pearl kinda white the 02 has. Then i was thinking gunmetal, but i can't find any place that powdercoats that color, the closest color is black.

maybe i should start considering colors like pink or skyblue...

well i had silver 18 inch 5Zigen GT8's before.. i took them to the powder coating place.. and they had a catalogue of colors i could choose from.. they had over 30 shades of white.. i just took the book out to the car and then i matched it to the car's color.. cost me $75 a wheel for powdercoating.. which was better to me than selling my silver rims and trying to buy white rims that would match the factory paint..

Normal tire stores don't do that. You have to go to a wheel refinishing shop, or ask your tire store if they have a wheel refinishing shop that they can out-source to. I had my wheels painted by a local shop that does nothing but repair and refinish wheels. They painted my wheels with Nissan QN0, the exact same paint that is on the car, so it's a perfect match.

Do you have the Pearl White or normal white? How long has the paint been on there and how is it holding up?

sounds good, but hows the paint holding up? Tires america did say they actully paint the wheel first then clear powdercoat(?) it. but they didn't mention anything about factory paint tho...

Well, they have to use some sort of paint. Make sure it is the same paint code that's on your car, so that it's a perfect match. The paint holds up very well, just like the paint on the body does. No chipping. A few minor scratches that would be on there even if they were stock, but not noticable since the paint is thick. There's no bare aluminum showing anywhere. I have 4 years and 60,000 miles on them. I did the same thing to my previous car and had excellent results with that, too.

The paint on my '95 is definitely the best white paint on any car ever. I never get tired of my Arctic White Pearl. The German car companies have the best silver, but Nissan has the best white.

How

bout Black Ice. I had them On my GXE it was Lexus Diamond Pearl.
Only ROH makes the finish though. heres a pic, Its not cheesy looking like chrome It still shines and sometimes it looks dark and some times it doesnt. Also not that many people have it yet so you can be original. Needless to say there on my SE now.
BTW I sell ROH wheels so If you want a price email me.
XRR Custom Designs
webshots is acting wierd this weekend so if the pic isnt there check later.
