Can't get along with everyone you meet, especially on the Internet. Owners from any enthusiast base will get younger, and thinking they are more "entitled". I started on here at a young age, but spent more time researching and not stepping on toes. I left the making friends part to organized meets and events, and have met a good number of org members, who I can assure you aren't arrogant.

Hahaha, mine's about as stock as they come and I had a chick start a convo with me at an ATM the other night because I keeps it clean!

"That's a Maxima right?"
Sure is, an '03
"Shutup, there's no way that car is 9 years old"

I could have probably pulled a date or at least a number but I walked away when I realized she could do Math, too smart for me...Hahahaha! I kid, I kid!

I don't let it bother me anymore. I automatically assume everyone I meat is a tool/idiot. Especially on the internet.

If anything bother me on this website it is the general under education of the 7th gen owners.
M3 comes with the S65, not that horrendous piece of trash N54/55

As far as owner ego goes, it's mostly kids with them as hand me downs for their first car. They're young, they don't know any better, people tend to put them in their place pretty quickly here.

If they manage to squeak by and still do it recognize they place a little too much importance on their car and don't realize there are bigger fish in the sea.

You're right man, I'm terrible with the ladies. It was so much easier when we could chase them around the playground and stick gum in their hair! Ahhh, simpler times.

I worked at a McDonalds for a year during high school and got yelled at by angry customers looking for a nice little Asian kid to make fun of at least several times a month before I was able to buy my car.

Now, I still have that same car. And I know she might not be the most beautiful, or greatest, but I still appreciate her.

I am quite a humble old man, at a ripe age of 21

I agree with this statement. When I joined the G8 forum, I couldn't believe how ignorant some of those people were/are.

The one thing that made me think this is how people were changing the fog light bulbs on the G8. They were going thru the wheel wells by unpinning the wheel well panels instead of just pulling the lower grills. What was the f'n genious who started this and passed it on to the weak-minded folks to get pretty much the whole community doing it this way?

Another joke is the Spectre vs Rotofab intake BS. The people that spent 350 on a plastic intake seems to think that it's the best because the Spectre is around $150. They're the same exact intake but the Spectre is all made from metal and looks better.

The G8 forum I frequent is full of characters.

lol gash. and yeah i explained why. cuz it doesnt make sense. people who are always working on their cars can either get lots of play or none. it depends on their car and their physical attractiveness and how outgoing they are. and some dress like slobs, while other dress in designer only. so yeah...

oh i forgot you cant mess around on here. everyone gets butthurt. and everyone thinks my name means im saying im a genius. even more comical.

Dude, it's makes every bit of sense but it makes no sense to you because you don't know what the f I'm talking about. Why even try to challenge me on it? What I said is true and I never said anything about people who work on their cars. I work on my cars all the time and I dress nice, have a great personality and don't act like my ish don't stink because of my cars.

"The one's that put the most into their cars are the one's that get no play from women or wear nice clothes."

I said this because "I" found this to be true. Challenge it all you want.

I guess this is something you need to get over then.

There are people that are completely oblivious to anything other than their current cars all over. A buddy of mine is on Montecarloforums (he owns an 03Jeff Gordan edition) and he tells me all the time some of the ridiculous comments other owners make like they seem to think they are driving a legit Nascar around lol I mean I know some of them can run well but the majority of them are 15 second cars at best. He also owns a 300c SRT8 and they bash on it anytime something is brought up about it on that forum as well. I went with him to a small Monte Carlo meet one time and I drove my car and I had one guy ask me what my car runs in the 1/4 and not even a millisecond after I finished "Well my Monte would do low 10's if I turboed it...", I just looked at him thinking congratulations on what your car could do lol, so me being an @$$ I asked him "What does it run right now?" he changed the subject then walked away lol.

On another note in all seriousness Maxima's are nice cars, and with some mods run decent but there is not a very strong aftermarket for them and at the end of the day it's a FWD sedan. I love my 5.5gen but I've learned over the years that it's just not worth it to dump tons of $$$ into it to try to make it something that it's not. As soon as I finish up my BSCS and obtain a decent job I'm gonna buy something with much more potential and put the Maxima on permanent DD status.

You make plenty of sense with this comment which I could not agree more. They are nice cars. But there are some people on here that have made maximas what they were not meant to be and I mean they have made them fast. Which can impress and surprise people that don't expect much from 4door sedans...

90 Percent of the people that live around me wether it be a maxima owner or a civic owner are arrogant because they get everything handed to them and I always get beat on because I am driving 86 car that looks like an old bag of ****s right now. even when I was driving my truck as a daily I would get **** about it "only having a v6." Yea it had a 3.0 v6 that was bored and stroked to a 3.3 with forged rotating assembly race ported and polished heads and intakes custom headers 3" exhaust all the way back custom cam grinds. Don't bust on my vehicles when your mommy and daddy leased a new civic or maxima and all's you have on it is a exhaust and tint. Talk to me when your dropping over 6-7k on a motor build of your hard earned money.

The bold is not true, the variety of cars that the VQ motor is used in benefits us. Plus theres a heap load of Maxima-specific aftermarket items.

Let me break it down because its real simple... its not the car that makes the person arrogant (unless its a $60G+ car that their mommy bought them), its the *person*. Ive seen n/a civic owners swear they can **** on anything, its not just Maxima owners.

The truth is you can make (almost) ANY car a 10 second car, but certain cars give you more of a head-start than others, and some cars use different methods to get to 10 seconds. We all know the Maxima can be a 10 second car with a n/a 3.5 swap and nitrous. 4-bangers usually take the turbo route, and muscle ususally take the s/c route, although anythings possible.

Get over it...not really a big deal and is a fact of life. If this is such a concern perhaps you should choose to interact with different people.
wasnt trying to make a BIG deal of anything, this was just something I've noticed and wanted to share to see if i was the only one that noticed this

i agree, it just gets annoyingly amusing hearing these kids/people "brag" about their cars
