Re: RICEY OR NOT?

If it was on a pre-2002 Maxima it would be ricey.

I don't think non-stock badges are ricey if they're accurate... i.e. the 3.5 badge on a 2002, or a modified SE--SC badge on a supercharged Max...I like it!

Hmm, not needed, all 2002's come with the 3.5, adding a badge makes it look fake.

Yes, but all '95 Nissans with our body style were called Maximas and they still put a "M A X I M A" badge on the back...does that look fake?

thanks for your replies guys, I know it may state the obvious to us , but to others they have asked me if I really had a 3.5 ( 2k1 owners who have been hidden under a rock), and for those ricers who think im faking the funk, can find out when they race me, hence a civic si and GSR who raced me , and was surprised, and thought I put that there like a moron, I beat them so bad, they came back and asked what i had under the hood, and I pulled over to show them the motor, their eyes lit up! one of them had a buddy with a 2k 5spd stock, and he loved it! he was under a r0ck also he made fun of me while his friends were laughing that we have the same motor, we went out and 2 car lenghts later he got to see the motor

My teenage mind drifted in the same direction...I would if it was me, but I didn't post it for fear of law-abiding citizens flaming me. olice:

either way, I wouldn't pay 33 bucks for it!

OK, my dumb question: how does it attach? Hole drilling required?

I'm pretty sure it attaches with 3M tape.

Re: RICEY OR NOT?

No, I don't think it looks "Ricey" or "Racey". I bet non-Maxima people wouldn't even know it's not supposed to be there...

I wouldn't pay $33.00 for it.

Definition of rice: making your car look/seem faster than it really is by putting deceptive stickers or spoilers on it.

Hence. putting a "3.5" badge on a car with a 3.5liter engine cannot possibly be rice.

Looks pretty good too

heh, guitarus was right, it comes with 3M tape already attached to the back, so you just peel off the plastic and stick it on anywhere you want. Its hard to pry off, you'd have to do some damage to take it off, and plus its kind of risky around here to go to a p-finder and tear the emblem off, I'd rather pay $33 than risk Police intervention ( i work for them) so thats my situation.

If you order through TustinNissan.com (Ask for Matt), tell them you're a member of Maxima.org and they'll give you a discount.

It's less than $18+s/h from them.

Matt also sells a lot through the Group Deal forum here at the Org.
