My interesting run in with nissan.
4 Weeks ago while sitting in my car before class I noticed a small amount of smoke coming out of my hood, so I turn the car off and check it out. There was a large amount of oil underneith my car and when I checked the oil level out it was low. So I got some oil and put it in my car and brought it to our family mechanic. He looked at it and said it was the timing case and that it would be a very expensive job because it required removal of the engine, so I then brought the car to nissan to be worked out under warrenty.
They said it shouldn't take any longer than a few days... well today marks 3 weeks and I still don't have my car back. yesterday they said they should finish....they didnt. Yesterday they said it will be done today.... still not done. Luckely this happined over winter break or I'd be screwed. So hopefully I get my car back soon enough. To my suprise they offered to detail my car for free and give me some free oil changes for the trouble they've caused, so we'll see how they hold up to that.

Re: My interesting run in with nissan.
The last thing a dealer who's busy wants to do is a long tedious warrantee job. That's why you should always demand a rental. Not cause it saves you a few bucks, but because it costs them and gives the dealer a reason to get the job done. Same with autobody work. If the other side is paying the tab, definitely get the car. Autobody shops are notorious for sitting on cars or drawing out estimated times unless they have a reason not to.
