Ben's ECU mod question...

If I wire in a switch:
1. Do I have to stop the car to flip it (turn limiter off)?
2. Will I need to reset the ECU to turn the "Check Engine" light off or when I flip it off will it automatically go away?
3. How long does it take for the light to come on?
4. How fast can you really go?

How so? I know it keeps it off for when the switch is off, but when its on (and the limiter is disabled) is when the CEL comes on right? Basically its just a switch in the pink/blue wire, right? And if the CEL does come on, do I have to reset the ECU to turn it off or just flip the switch off?
Thanks Sprinty,

how long do you plan to stay above 120? i don't think you will be up there that long to trigger it..

I think Ben said a 20 amp Switch.. go search bish

switch won't reset the light.. if for some reason the light comes on.. say you are sitting at 130 for 10 mins.. you will have to reset the ECU to turn it off..

What are you talking about? Even you are limited to 131 MpH. But have you even gone that fast? I don't have the low limiter, I've gone up to 120 MpH, but if I do again this mod will come in handy.

Really ? Is that why I was up to 135 a few weekends ago !?!?!

Sorry but all '95 SE's have the power to reach 140+. It is just part of the fact that we are the second fastest maxima's alive.

Don't you think that was because of your mods! Do you honestly think you could have kept going? Look in any car magazine, even a '95 is limited at 131 MpH.

And where does the pop make power again? Low or high? Come on, you know this one.... BTW, I agree '95 SE Maxs are the 2nd fastest. Now stop twisting it and put trannies in there. You are the...what 5th? fastest type of Maxima?

Well I would give you the cookie pic but unlike sprintmax I am not a computer wizz/geek/junkie/nerd/hacker so I don't know where to find em. So I will just give you this:

BTW, I said 3 pounds, not 5.
