I need some HELP!!!!

Okay, the other day my SES light comes on for the first time. So, I go to get the DTC's. Pull off the little panel to turn the screw and there's nothing there! It's just a hole. WTH! I don't know if the previous owner messed with it or what but there's nothing to turn. Anyway, while I was trying to find the screw, my car made an electrical noise. Came up and saw the light blinking codes!?!? I have no idea how that happened. They were 0509 - front heated oxygen sensor in y-pipe, and 1008 - Evap canister. I installed my Cattman y-pipe three weeks ago so the 0509 is probably no coincidence. You think the sensor went bad all of a sudden or could it be something else. Also, how the heck am I supposed to check the codes regularly without that screw? I don't even know how the codes popped up in the first place. Should I replace that whole unit, which seems expensive as hell? I guess I'll have to reset the ECM by unplugging my battery. Do you think the dealership will fix those things under warranty. I am concerned because of my mods. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanx in adv.

The Sensor probably got damaged during removal or replacement during the Y pipe install.. i know.. mine did too.. just head to the dealership.. pick up the O2 sensor you need and fix it yourself.. 5 min job.. make sure you know if its the Front LEFT Heated or Front RIGHT Heated

Any suggestions as to why that little screw is missing or what I should do about it?

someone reset it one too many times and eff'd it up.. if the hole is there .. then thats probably the reason.. you might have to open up the ECU case and see if you can fix it.. other wise.. just dont' worry..
