Windows do go down with the transmitter, but not up.

You can also crack your windows, but you have to press, hold, and release it just right...a split second too long and they'll roll all the way down.

The cruise control has a cool feature....let's see if you figure it out.

Another cool thing is that you can use any generation and size of Maxima wheels on your 95 to make it look more modern.

Speaking of transmitters...

I picked up a 1995 Max a few months ago...started shopping for a key-less fob...wow, didn't realize beat up, used transmitters are floating around $60.00. I checked to see if my SE was equipped with the key-less receiver, and trunk pop...everything checks out.

Does anyone know of a after market fob that will function properly? I did some searches, and can't seem to find a definitive answer, just "I think" and "It should", lol.

Thanks for any help...I'm getting sick of sticking my key in the door to lock/unlock it (talk about stone age).

Thanks for the link...although it's a lot less than $60, it still looks like crap...was looking more for a newer model that will act OEM.

Do a search on ebay for keyfobs. You can get a modern one and have it programmed to work for your 95 car. I did a quick search and found one for $11.79 shipped.

Thanks...sorry to keep beating this dying horse...but I keep coming full circle to my original concern. Will these aftermarket fobs perform the same tasks as the OEM fob? (i.e. roll windows down).

That has been the big question, and I can't find anyone to either confirm or deny any particular aftermarket fob. Just answers like, "it should", or "I'm pretty sure".

Will NOT.
OEM only.
I have a $11-$15 aftermarket key fob.
It unlocks your doors, and pops your trunk, no window down feature.
I got an OEM one off Ebay after that for around $30.

Question

Don't mean to thread jack, but had a related question.

I previously drove a 98 I30, and that car had the window down feature. However, I am now in a 2000 SE, and the windows do not go down with the fob.

Was this feature discontinued at some point, or is it just broken / not equipped in my car? Really enjoyed this feature in the summer time, and would like to be able to use it in my current car if possible. Thanks for any info anyone can pass my way.

Nissan took the window roll down feature away from the 2000 and 2001, but brought it back in 2002.
