Money well spent to get my new rims powder coated with video

Wassup everybody. I've been saying that this season I'm coming out with a new concept so I just wanted to give ya'll a sneak peak on the mods. Bought some 18X9 Phat *** rims, very light and there's not many light rims that's that wide available for my car so I decided to get them powder coated in semi-gloss. I was thinking about doing it myself but decided not to because I want to keep these rims for a long time. What ya'll think? ***** the chrome...

My rims guy/home boy did it for me for cost price which was $150. He took all for tires off powder-coated the rims shaved the hub on the rear because it was rubbing due to low off-set, mounted and balanced them. Was gonna get my bodyshop guy to do it but I've heard that powder coating is stronger than painting them.

Wow you sure did get a nice hookup. Lowest I've seen here is $75 per wheel. Unmounted before bringing them in. And Yea powder coating is more durable than paint for sure. By chance do you know what those are made from? Like aluminum or what? Only concern with powder coating is it does infact weaken some wheels depending on what they're made of. I've even heard of forged wheels cracking so it's a toss up.

Not sure man, it's on really good and I'm not worried about it cracking because they're not my everyday rims. Got like 4 sets of rims so these will last a long time. Powder coating is very costly but because I've been dealing with him for years and I race with him he did it as a friend as suppose to a customer. Can't wait to slap in on

Can't beat that price. I'm getting my stock wheels done and I'm paying about $125 each.

Unfortunately the place I went to like 5 years ago got raided for being a chop shop so they're gone. Do a quick google search though. There are so many shops there. Get some phone numbers and starting getting quotes.

$125 is too expensive bro, you might as well get new aftermarket rims already in black. The most you should pay is $70 maybe more if you have curb rash. My rims where basically brand new with no scratches of curb rash but hands down my boy did me a favour. Just to take the tires off would cost me about $40 and another $60 to mount and balance them back so I got a friend deal...

Wish I could bro but I can't take guys to him and ask him to charge the same price. But shops in Toronto Canada start from around $55/rim
