Weight distribution regarding auto 4gens

I recently swapped my front wheels back to steelies and I noticed that the drivers side front tire seems to be flatter than the passenger. I guaged the air and they are both at 30 psi and still the drivers side seems to have more weight on that side of the car. When I have my alloys on, the car seems to slightly be lower on that side also.

Im thinking its heavier on that side due to the auto tranny? am I wrong? or is it something else? It just seems wierd to see the drivers side being more "flat" than the other side even when the psi are the same.

Maybe it's your own extra weight on the drivers side?

That is exactly true, being that the auto transmission on the Maxima is quite heavy, the drivers side front spring rate is supposed to be slightly heavier than the right. Most spring manufacturers don't take weight into too much consideration when making their springs. When you build a real race car, you will have to measure your spring rate due to the individual weights on all four corners.

think about it yes the auto weighs more than the 5spd but the motor weighs alot more than the auto and most of your motor is on the passenger side so I dont think that is true. I think someone should do a corner weight on a maxima to tell how the weight transfers to each wheel.

I will be buying a corner weight system sometime soon, when I finish my coilovers.
