I ran 16.1 in mine (we'll it's the wifes but I'm the one who takes care of it). It's 100% stock, and I launched it at 4k rpm! most people are in agreement that you need to launch at 5k or higher to get the best times out of it, but those are the same people crying that they need new clutches at 10k miles. In most situations on the street a Max will easily outrun an Si, from the line it may be close vs and auto max if the Si driver goes ***** out but from a roll the Si only has a slim chance of keeping up. But contrary to what most ricers think the Si isn't about going really fast, the car handles like a go-cart and through the corners is where it shines. It would run circles around even a lowered Max on the back roads and clover-leafs.

Check them out head to head:

Most SIs out there have at least intake and exhaust. How fast do those things run with those mods? I'm going to have to give one a run next time one is next to me with some empty road.. =)

yeah most of ClubSi is BS, but there are quite a few Si's that will pull low 15's consitantly... intake, headers and ignition help it out enough to do that in most cases. The gear ratio's are what really give the car help though, they are ALOT shorter than the Max.

Well, I ran my roommates 2000 Si with intake and 2.25" drop (man that thing was low!) and the best time I got out of it was a 15.4. There's this guy that goes to the track a lot with a 2000 Si and he has CAI, header, cat, catback, ignition, vtec-controller, engine mounts, 1.75" drop, and he only weighs about 135 lbs! He wouldn't ever let me run it, but his best time is around 15.2! Sucky rice-boy driver!
