just traded in my 2010 premium and took out the 2013 sports.
some points----the 2010 gave me over 40,000 miles on the 18 inch goodyears and they were great.
the new 2013 sport with 19 inch gave me headaches as of 100 miles . tire pressure was set at 40. now at 33 and all ok .
except.....the new car /tires at 96 miles showed razor blade like cuts all around the tire and all the way across and also the side of the tire where the thread ends was sort of missing pieces as if someone was chewing it out.
this happened on both front tires only.
took it to goodyear dealer ...they are rsa's..... and was told something was rubbing and that they had never seen anything like that .
took it back to Nissan dealer and same here ..never seen this ..
they gave me two new tires and wheels.
but I thought that maybe it was the tire because it appered to me as being a defect in the carbon black used .
so ,I called goodyear an I was surprised ...as I related the damage to this tire with only 100 miles they admitted that they have been having problems of this kind and that they are fully aware and thus they have extended the warranty to ,I think she said 4 years and x miles ??? I do not remember exactly.

anyhow she gave me the exact name of the defect ,or the term they use ..somethink like microscopic ..whatever ....

2)---the 2013 sports suspension is great and more direct than the premium package I had .which I liked .and the handling is very good.
I do have other cars and a 550 ,1955 spyder ,and this maxima is as much fun to drive. better than the harsher m37 sports and more fun then the 535 or panamera...( not the 911 which is the best out there ever )

3)-- I read in this site of people complaining about how they have to "steer'the car continuously ....and yes you do and the reason is the tires.
the rsa are razor sharp handlers and as such they will be " nervous " requiring your attention at all times ...no texting or taking eyes of the road . I had the same situation in my fx35 ( infinity ) and to make it easier and more comfortable to drive I switched to contis and the car is now a pleasure to drive but not as much fun and does not turn in nor stop as good.

4)----I road tested many other cars before getting this 2013 maxima ...I actually road tested every car out there and price no object I settled on the maxima for the fun factor .................my next favorite was the gs350 2013 but I do not care for the shape of the car nor the profile.but overall if you can get over the shape this one is a higher quality built car and more comfortable and as much fun but take off 25% from the fun factor.

5) price paid ------here is the clincher but remember price was not an issue ...list was 42 or so ...discounted to 35.5...but I could have gotten it for 33.5 at another dealer but tom far away ....
instead opted for a lease at $399 per month for 39 mos. with 15k mles per year. zero down

quality issues --- driver side door does not close properly..you have to sort of be firm....misaligned door mounts .
gaps in the hood and also on the inside dashboard more on one side than the other .. usa assembly .......

well.....hope this helps someone looking into a maxima .

and my favorite car aside from my 550 spyder is my 2000 saab 9.5 aero.
