jtricer1973 Newb introduction.

Well, I hadn't written an introduction post and a member for some reason asked how old I was so thought I would write a brief one.
I am a 41 year old male nurse in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. I am a die hard do it yourself-er and literally HATE having to pay someone else to work on my vehicles so over the years I have attempted many many repairs myself with varying degrees of success. Sometimes everything works out great, sometimes I would have been better off taking it to the shop. That is ok too though, and I have learned a lot. I take a lot of pride in the work I do for myself and it is a very satisfying feeling to maintain, diagnose (with you all's help of course), and repair your own vehicle. Never ever do I want to be the guy who has to take his vehicle to the shop and pay crazy prices just for a brake job that I can do myself in 30 minutes for maybe 25 bucks in parts, and most of that time is jacking the car up and removing wheels.
Anyway, thanks to all the members of this forum for your input.

A belated welcome to the org!

There are many people here that share your love of cars and like to work on them rather than pay someone else. There are all ages here from in the teens to the 70's. I'm pushing the top end of the list, but it's our shared love of cars that bring us here.

We can all learn from each other. We just have to be willing to share.

Welcome! This is an excellent forum/site to help out on any problems you may encounter. I have used it many times to find out how to fix or upgrade my vehicles.

Yes, it has already helped me tremendously in this knock down drag out I have going with the wife's 05. Hopefully, I'll win. Its gotten personal between me and this car!! And like I said above, there have been times that by the time I got the problem fixed, I could have paid a shop, but even in those instances where I come away whipped and cussing, I take what I have learned and file it away for the next time!!
