What you get for your money

ok...when i talked to craig he told me that he would get the five color ones developed for $80

it seems that cheston talked with him as well some time ago.. and for $50 the gauges would come in just the indiglo or maybe green as well like the honda indiglo gauges

but don't we have to pick one or the other??? I guess It will be universal somehow for digital and analog odometers perhaps...what's up with that. I'm down for the 5 color gauges.

LOTS OF INFO FROM CALSPEED!!

I took the liberty in contacting them myself to straighten out any of the info that people are trying to figure out on the board here... basically he said that he needs a minimum of 50 orders per type of dashboard to start making them that means if u want the one without digital odo then u need to find 49 more people without digi odo, if you want it for 5th generation maxima then u need to get 49 more people for that... and so on... here is the exact email i recieved from them aprox 5 min. ago... we are getting a VERY good deal on them if we buy them from the start... well read the email it will straighten out a lot of stuff for u...

Hello! Here is a little info for you.

I established a close relationship with a indiglo gauge face
manufacturer who can custom make gauge faces for models that are not
otherwise available. It was my goal to begin by producing Altima and Maxima
gauge faces. The only problem is that to order custom it requires I order a
minimum 100 gauge sets PER model. For this reason I am trying to recuit
people who are interested to somewhat commit to rdering them. Once I get
around 50 people per model signed up I am going to go ahead and put the
money out to get them manufactured.

The gauges will be exact copies in type style and all markings to the stock
ones, except will appear bright white during the day, and be color changable
indiglo during the night. It i possible that they will also come with the
companies new 5 color invertor, to allow extra color changability. I will
retail these for $150 when they are first released, but for the people who
sign on initially I will sell them for around $80 for the full set with
invertors.

Again, I will say they are NOT yet being manufactured. Some people
missunderstood this before. I am sipply getting a initial count so that I
can get them manufactured when I am satisfied that enough people will be
ordering them as soon as they are here. They are being made in Japan, and
sent here. Expect the soonest we would see them will be at least 3-4 weeks.

Thank you again for your interest. I run a full service aftermarket and
wheels retailer, so if you have any other needs I would be happy to help
you!

Re: I'm in...

First, are these actuall guages or just face plates?

If they are actual guages then I am interested also for the $50 (or $80 for the colors) if they are not too Ricey...

Non Digital Odometer!!!

But, I would really like to see what these would look like before sending my cash off, so CAN WE GET SOME PICTURES????

Thanks

indiglo gauges

I think this are just overlays. Meaning they are just placed over the original face of your gauges. So if yours is not working, then this will not fix it. There is the problem of removing the needles of the gauges and putting it back too. But for $50 and $80 that's a good price. Count me in for a 98 Maxima GXE. One question, do we have to pay first before they actually start making them?

we're almost there!

All you people who are interested and not yet come forward, please do so now.

I've been keeping track and we're almost at 50. The majority of the people are 95-97 folks. The digital people will have to wait a tad longer. (I'm a 99 myself!)

Please remember this is a $80 multi-color deal, and probably not a $50 single color deal.

Also, a lot of people posted w/o saying what year their car is. please remember to do that.

later,
Ming

ok people, hang in there.

I emailed craig a few days ago w/ the update on head count.

So far, these are people who have replied to me or on this link. Cheston will probably have some others.
47 on 95 to 97
13 on 98 to 99

keep in mind some people will drop out, since they said they were not interested if it will be more than $50. So we will definitely need at least another 10 or so 95-97 people!!!

Craig said he would get back w/ me real soon on these questions I asked.

1. will the kit be universal between the two group of 4th gens (analog vs digital odometer)?

2. If there are gonna be two different sets of guage faces, do we need 50 per style?

3. Do we need down payments to get the order going? If yes, how much and where to send.

4. How long after the order is in can we expect a product?

5. What is the exact price gonna be, if it is different than $80, since we've been assuming it is.

So, thats the scoop as of now.

Anyone who has not posted and is interested please email me and post a link here.

Remember to include your name, your email addy, and the year of your car!

later, Ming
