spark plugs, is it a must?

I was wondering if I HAD to change my spark plugs
I have 85k on my maxima.
does it give you better milage or something?

It's your car....Nissan recommends 60k with NGK plats.....do what you want.

HAVE replace plugs? Not at all. BUT you should at least pull them and check gapping color (make sure not fouled) and make a general inspection. If they look good-not need to replace. But if you are unsure-a relatively inexpensive way to help maintain your cars performance.

Your vehicle's overall power, gas mileage, and efficiency boils down to the spark. If the spark is not good enough, you're wasting fuel, thus driving down your fuel economy and power that is being made. Change them.. they're inexpensive and not difficult to replace.
