Ignore the fact that my threads are always about exhausts, but I came across this video of a guy who apparently put a GTR exhaust on his 2004 350z.

Don't the newer Maximas have about the same engine?

I love the tone of any Maxima, but imagine the look on peoples faces when they hear the sound of a GTR coming out of something else, !

The engine's exhaust is set up too differently in any FWD car to make it ever sound like a AWD/RWD car IMO.

 

Nice find!! Should be a complete direct bolt on since Maxima and the Z are both made by Nissan.





jk engines are mounted differently and there is NO WAY you can make it fit without HEAVY modifications.

 

I didn't know what causes it to make that signature fluttering sound.

However, I don't think that this was a direct bolt on for the 350 either.

Even so, if it did make this sound on a Max, it would be worth the fabrication IMO

 

would be nice to see some under belly shots to see the fabrication needed.

 

agree with OP that sound from a max would trip people out.....Just not sure after that initial reaction if i could enjoy this day to day to day...

 

install a G35 muffler and call it a day
