New headunit and HKS gauge panel in the dash
Sort of... The dash is still sitting in the living room. First time taking the dash apart, so I was being extra careful. Didn't want to screw up the nice aluminum dash kit.
Now pics.
Now pics.

The HKS panel is actually alittle bigger than a din size radio. Close but not perfect. I would say by 1 mm all around. It's not flush like an OEM radio would be.

Re: Looks sweet...
Didn't do anything. The dash just overlaps the gauge panel. It's not perfect, but it looks fine. The panel is like $40. I don't remember how much each gauges were. There were all less than $60 each.

But if it is about 1mm bigger on every side, how did it fit? Did you have to sand the dash a little? How much did the whole setup (with guages) run you?
Thanks,
Cyrus

Hey Tony >>
Nice job. Looks...technical.
Is the HKS gauge kit basically a replacement trim piece for the pocket that's usually there? How much was it...not including the three gauges?
Now all you need to do is pull out the left driver's side HVAC vent, and put a trim piece in with a tranny fluid temp gauge.

Re: Hey Tony >>
The HKS is a replacement for the pocket. It's alittle bigger but it will fit. I got it off groupbuycenter.com for around $40. I already have a-pillar gauge pod with tranny temp.
