Is it ok to use regular car wax on the bumpers or should you use something else. I did a search but I couldn't find anything.

I've never heard of special wax for bumpers. I figure, the paint on bumpers are the same as the sheet metal, and wax is for paint.

I just use the cheap KIT wax in the bottle with an orbital buffer. I must admit though, I can never get the bumper to look as good

 

it would be tough to hurt one of those bumpers, however i do not recomend compound on the rest of the car, i used it on the bumper fine, did not come out well on the door. little extra tid bit
