Sneak peak of my painted/cleared 02 tails.
Hey guy's today I decided to take another shot at clearing/painting my 2002 tails. I went out to a local paint shop and had them woop up a batch of nissan's sterling mist paint and put it in a spray paint can for me.
After previous attempts on trying to open my tails using heat failed I decided to just use a dremel and cut them out(there pressure fited into place). Cutting them apart went very well today. So next I poped out the red/orange reflectors and then proceded too mask off the chrome areas and then I painted the insides of my tails sterling mist and then did a few coats of clear coat. Next I did quite a bit of heavy sanding trying to get my 2000 GXE tail light cut out's into proper shape(not 100% done with that yet, but almost!).
So heres a pic of were I am at now, I have to wait for the paint to dry and do a few other things. In the pic below you will probably notice the very edges of the lights are a little chewed up, I am going to paint over that area tomarrow and then finsish up the final touches and seal every thing up. Once my other tail light comes in the mail I will do my other side.
Pics of the finished product should be available tomarrow, stay tuned .

Thanks guy's I can't help but wonder how nice this would look on a white or black max, definatly a lot more noticable then on a sterling mist.

Thanks guy's!
I am using my oem(yellowish) bulbs in my headlights for blinkers, I will put some orange ones in my tails(from a 2000 GXE actually).
