Which Should I Get??? Help Me Out...

For the past two years i've been driving a `93 Maxima SE (AUTO) and had no problems with it, except when four months ago my transmission died on me. I fixed up the car and i've been driving it since without any problems. Before the tranmission's death, I was so pleased with the way my Maxima had performed and now I want to get a newer one. I could get a `02, but the insurance for the car would crush my funds severely.

I'm interested in getting either a 20th Anniversary Edition SE or a 2001 SE. The only problem i'm having is that I don't know which is better, or which I should start looking for. So for this information I'm turning to the board for advice on this big decision that I have to make. What are the key differences between the two (regardles of interior cosmetic differences)? Are there any performance differences; if there are any differences between the two, please let me know. Also tell me which one you would choose. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, should I buy from a dealership or from a individual seller?

Get a 2K2. Cuz if u got a 2K1 the $$$ u save on insurance from not getting a 2k2, you'll have to spend on modding the 2k1 so it'll hang with the 2k2.

buy from a private seller.. the money you spend on taxes and fees in a dealership is lost as soon as its paid.. its not something you could ever make any kind of money back on if you were to sell it again.. plus from a private owner you get a better perception of how the car was cared for. you not just looking something thats been soaked in silicone and just had all the fluids changed to make it seem like its been well maintained. a dealer's main objective is to get as much money out of you as possible.. thats how he gets paid. you can easliy get an extended warranty too, either from a dealer of an aftermarket company. (the warranty on my 95 is through a travel agency). trust me buy from a private seller.. at least you stand some kinda of a chance of talking to an honest person. at a dealership you stand a 0 chance..

My vote is for 2k2 6spd. emax got a 0-60 (gtech I think though) of 5.75 sec.
