Cattman dyno pull graphs.....

Here are a couple of my before and after dyno graph comparisons.

Before I post them I need to add that the day before I used a gas station that apparently gave the Maxima some bad gas, I noticed it was running really bad right away and it never improved with the gas remaining in the tank. I didn't want to cancel the runs because I wanted to see what kind of difference it made. I am also going to change the plugs and the fuel filter tomorrow, and NEVER use that station again. The filter and plugs are overdue anyway.

The max h.p. gain was 16 w.h.p. at 5,500 rpms, thats around 20 at the crank! Cattmans claims are valid.

After the install the ecu was reset, and as i drove the car I noticed the performance continually get better, even with the gas problem. Not bad for only one mod. I am hoping to drop that 14.715 and increase my m.p.h. this Sunday. I will post my results early Monday morning.

Awesome gains. I figured them to be around 10 whp... looks like I was a little low in my estimation.

CRAIG MACK, and you other guys that say "Y-pipe loses low end power blah blah..." take a close look at these graphs. The y-pipe power is above the stock power AT EVERY SINGLE POINT ON THE GRAPH. Gains everywhere.

It's not just the Y-pipe that people complain they loose low end power...it's the Y coupled with a full cat back.

Darn it!

I've got to get me one of those y-pipe things. Only thing is I have a 2K1 which is Cali-spec. I wonder if I'll see similar gains.

Dang, if you can run a 14.7 with that little power stock, I should be doing much better with my 176fwhp/194fwtq.

With cali spec, i wouldnt expect the same gains. I have a cali spec & have the Stillen Y-pipe. On our cars, there are 2 precats, if your cali, you wil only be eliminating 1 of the 2 precats. Yes thats how its designed & i dont know why.

Someone w/ a 5th gen swapped the front exhaust manifold & coverted over to FED from after being cali. He said he felt no difference in power so ...

Veetec, with the addition of this Y-pipe & your driving skills, you should be able to hit at least 14.5.
