I am in the market of purchasing the Consult 1 and Consult 2 adapters that you can hook up to your laptop.


I have a '95 Hardbody pickup, '96 I30, '00 Maxima, '03 Maxima, and a '06 Xterra.


I understand I would need the Consult 1 14-pin interface for the first two, and the rest would need the Consult 2?


Also, what software should I use if I purchase these Consult interfaces?

For the 03 & 06 MY's, Uprev Cipher works well, the older ones you'd have to find it somewhere else.

 

I see eBay has s bunch of the Consult interface adapters.

For the 03 and 06, can I use the Consult 2? Or do I need to purchase the Consult 3?

Consult II worked fine with the 02. It's even mentioned in the FSM

 

I just ordered a Consult 2 adapter off of eBay. I hope it works fine.

Just out of curiosity, anyone used the Consult 4 scanner off of ebay (the one from China)?


They go for around $360 or so.
