Close up pics of the G35(engine,intake,etc)

Hey guys a buddy of mine and I went to see a G35 at a dealership near us. Here's a few close ups of the engine, intake and body.

Let me tell you the pictures on the web do not do this car justice.

The trunk line is not nearly as high as it appears, the lines are IMOP classic
The cold air intake is awesome.

The pictures are courtesy of my buddy Droideka

Enjoy.

I guess it would be nice to give you some of my impressions.

The model we looked at was the SPorts edition it has the 5 spoke rims(atleast that's what I believe)

The car does appear to be as "trendy" as it has been touted.
The interior ergonomics are fantastic with the exception of the seats(I don't know why Nissan believes everyone who is going to be driving their cars is 300 lbs) The seats are not supportive at all and the none existent bolsters could really take a few lessons from Acura.
Outside of that I promise you my wife will be getting this car.

Configuration:
The model we looked at was still set up with japenese configurations the controls were oppoiste drivers side(I.E. radio, controls)
Cosmetics:
The LED taillights were a nice touch
The trunk had the cSame cheap lining my 2k2 SE had

Engine:
The engine was started but they would not move the car for anyone so I really can't tell you to much about that car.

Wow, those wheels are too sweet, and I love the car in that color. Very, very nice pics.

I hope the coupe looks a lot better, this looks a lot like the new Altima from the side! The back is Fugly with the cut up tail lights! I didn't know it was out already! So is it 260HP or did they go for the 280?

It looks like the G35 is going to berates 260HP this year. That's a nice intake for OEM - lot's of airflow and easy to go cold air if wanted/needed.

It also looks like there is a bunch of room for a turbo setup.

The Infiniti brochure I got yesterday in the mail now says 255HP! Gads, it is going down as the release date draws near!

Tex

the information I have(from the dealer who seems to no almost nothing about there products in general) is that its still coming as 260, however, mishmosh posted above they have the actual brochure which is indicating 255.

This car I don't believe is the final production model this is the touring car for the Auto show.

The backside of the car is Audi'ish to me. I see where you say the car looks like a passat it defintely has a Altima feel but it is distinctively a different car.

Overall, I don't think it's all that bad. There are some cues that I don't like but as a package, no bad. What are they running in the 1/4?

The car's not out yet but if the specs are correct and you run some numbers its showing about

0-60 in 5.9
1/4 somewhere around 14.3

These are specs I ran on a program based on 260 hp/260 lbs of torque.

if they don't overrate the engine like they did in the maxima and it has the same 6-spd ratios but RWD and about the same weight it should be like 14.1 i ran a 14.3 stock

It will be a little slower becasue it's "Auto only" (for now). It probably has the same power as us too, nissan's just playing around with the #'s probably .

HOLY jesus, thats an all time low for a Nissan, why would you switch to the manual way of that its so annoying with that bar in the way(Harder to put mods on).

Actually I like the styling of the car. I also liked the rear reclining seats that was a nice feature.

I Just want the car for its weight distribution and it's theoried 260/260 oh did I mention the skyline platform.

I can't wait for it to hit the show room

How much could they save? Maybe $45 per car?

Toyota made the same mistake on the 4th gen Camry. Um, do ya think they used a prop rod on the 2k2? NOT

Similarities to the Altima are definitely there, as they share variants of the FM platform. The 350Z is related also, and I see some slight design cues there too.

All I can say is I'm glad I didn't wait for it! When the 6spd and coupe comes out, maybe it will have better lines and more power and I might feel otherwise, right now its FUGLY to me. Nissan is getting stupid with design. If Infiniti wants to sell like Lexus, all their models can't be this love-it or hate crap!

$60/car for 250,000 cars is about 1.5Million dollars!

I don't understand where you guys are going with this...4th gen Maxs are definetly nothing special (same thing with all gens). This car is much better looking to me.

The lines are clean and elegant, proportions sporty...much better than any Nissan car in America today IMO

I absolutely agree ludacris

I can't fu@kin believe you guys though. Here you have the perfectly weighted car on a perfect platform with a good classic line and your fu@king b!tching about a hood prop for a car you hate to begin with. can you guys afford this car to begin with?
Do you know why its supposed to be a great car?

And my edited pictures with the drop in it just makes it look like a ghetto cruiser you might as well put gold wheels and chain link license plate frame on it.

Sorry man but I don't get it

I said 5 times in this same topic that I love this car, its beautiful man!(6 times) I could really careless about the hood prop because the max was the first car we owned that had stand alone struts.

I know exactly what makes this car a great machine, body structure, engine, weight, drive wheels, and the best quality (MODABILITY!!)
