Going to college and taking the Max?

I'll be going away to college in the fall and freshmen aren't allowed to have cars. Is there anyway at all to get around this or will I have to live without my max for a while

Umm...

I don't want to take my Maxima to college. There it will only get beaten and abused (if not stripped) where as at my parent's home there is a nice warm garage spot waiting for it and a patient driver who will start it once a week (thanks mom ). Most cars that get taken to college are really beaten unless you can afford a nice apartment with a garage.

My car made it through life on campus for a year and a half, only got hit once...

(note: VERY old pic, and yes, I'm giving the camera the finger)

Yup.

That little dent next to the bumper seam is there in that pic though, I have no idea how that got there.

park it in a Visitor's parking lot in an apartment complex (you need parking passes for the apartments around here) thats what i did last year. but expect all of your friends to ask you for rides.

Some colleges will allow you to drive your freshman year (that don't normally let fresh drive) if you have a job. My friend drove her car up there because she worked. If I were you, though... I'd leave it at home

unless you really need the car, I don't see a need to take it
I am probably transferring next year and will be living on campus and not commuting as I am right now. (use public transportation anyways) and I will need a car to get around since you can't go anywhere without it over there. I honestly would feel better with something cheaper the my max that I will not be worried about as much....

$10?? the MINIMUM parking ticket here is $20 (parking on sidewalk) $50 for firelane $100 if you dont have a parking pass. and parking here is such an issue that EVERYONE has parked on the sidewalk or in a fire lane at some point.

this is right now. to get an idea what firday and saturday nights are like picture the whole sidewalk behind the jeep and maxima covered with cars and every possible curb with a car on it.

You can always rent a parking space from the apartment complex
around the campus. That's what I did when I was a freshman @ PSU.
hehehe. And I was stuck in the dorms 'til I was a sophmore.
Met some cool roomates and we all went and got an apartment
complex/condole <---dont know if spelled right.
