i can't open the front door on the right side

I think it just some mechanical problem, anyone know how much to fix that?

If i can open that door, maybe i can take it apart and fix it myself?
anyone know how to do that?

Thx a lot.

Can you open it from the inside? You should check to see whether it is the door latch or the lock that is broken. Generally if it is the latch, you can still open the door from the other side (i.e. inside or outside). If it is the lock, well...that's a little trickier.

sounds like a 90-92 accord problem. involves drilling out the door mechanism to open the door.

if the window still works, you can always Dukes of Hazard it

same thing happened to me, but it was just the power lock mechanism that was screwing up and holding the lock down. I played with it for a bit and it cleared itself up. onlyhad the issue reoccur about once a year. annoying, but climbing out the passenger side is cheaper then fixing the door

That's not good. Well, I guess you gotta take it to the shop and see what they can do. If you car is new enough, the dealer might be able to help you and cover it under warranty, that is..if you can prove it was not involved in an accident which damaged the door.

Do the handles on either side move or not? And you're sure it's not frozen shut from ice (depending where you live )?

This problem has happened to a couple 3rd gen guys. My friends lock was like that too and one day it started working again. *strange*

I have heard you can use a really long screw driver and slide it down where the window crack and somehow pop the locking mechanism like that. After that you will have to replace the lock.

then, I found a splint, insert it into the latch through the gap of the door, and, haha, it works, the door opened and works well now.
