Attempted theft?
Attempted theft?
I pulled into the parking lot of a Circuit City in Cinci, OH and was about to get out of the car when I realised the Ford Explorer that pulled in behind me had parked a couple rows behind me and still had it's engine and lights on. Two dudes inside were staring at my car. The must have thought I couldn't see them staring because I had my back to them, but I was watching them in my side-view mirror.
After waiting 5 mins ad they still had not exited their vehicle, or even turned the lights or engine off, and were still staring, the "I gotta bad feeling about this" instinct kicked in. (I'm on the road for business, so if I lose my car I'm stranded hundreds of miles from )
Finally, I wussed out, started up again and drove away from the parking lot. The next lot over there was a security camera watching the lot, so I parked where my car could be seen by that and walked back to circuit city. I was gone for less than one minute, and when I got back the Explorer witht he two dudes was gone - they never went into the store, and left after I left. I ran back to my car worried that they may have followed me and seen where my car was parked, but it was ok. There was a cop parked a couple rows over from where I was now, so I doubt anyone would try anything now.
Now, am I being utterly paranoid, or would you guys have thought the same thing as me...

But that was a good call. I have yet to have anybody bother my car, but your experience so close to home to me is unsettling....

It could've been some 2 dudes waiting for their drug-dealer friend to show up so they can get some trees from him and maybe they were just parked near you and staring at your car to kill time
. In any case, good call, gotta do whatever it takez to keep the max!

same stuff hapened to me once at a post office. 10pm I went to pick up some mail so I park in the empty parking lot(was the only one there)and got my mail. When I was walking back to the car, this white car with 2 ppl pull up next to me and they park half way ricer style into a spot and just sat there with the engine, lights on but I just got in the car and ignored them until they followed me out of the parking lot. I was all freaked so I slowed down and they passed me so I decided to follow their a$$ for awlile until they pulled into a fast food place so I just went home.
the other time this happened was at Target when my girlfriend and I parked at the end of the lot far far away from other cars and this honda civic or old accord parked in front of me with his parking lights and blue led lights on and just sat there. I ignored that too so we started walking into the store until I noticed that they were not getting out of their car so I stood infront of the store and waited a couple more min to see what they were doing but they were just sitting back as if they were waiting for us to get in the store so they can do ****t. I got all paranoid so I went back to the car to repark it closer to the store and as soon as I got in the car and started the engine, they immediatelly drove off
that got me thinking that they were really about to do something.
