4th Gen Moonroof height & shim HELP!
Hey Gang!
I'm posting here because there is nothing anywhere on this! And few left in the 4th Gen section that have done anything with their moon/sunroof. Hopefully they're still here in newer forums.
My moonroof sits so low in the back that when I shim both back sides with Nissan Shims and washers, the stud's too short to thread a nut. Damn flange nuts don't thread to the end either, but I can use any nut, but still have a problem.
Anybody else ever have this problem and figure out how to extend the studs? Tired of the wind noise. Or is there another way to get the glass panel to sit higher in the back where it counts? I need another 3/16" both sides.
Also, I need one of those clip/screw combos that hold the moon roof trim on each side. Trashed the driver's side when it refused to come out. Any ideas?
Thanks Fellas!

I am working on the same problem. I know i have mention something and i also posted a thread about the moonroof. I had. Thread on a leak for the thread leak and how the seal goes on. I do know that i have looked for parts and the parts are limited but they should be their. The best bet is carid. Nissan had loads of parts that are headed or heading towards muilti-supersesions.
