Nissan Cima

Hi, I started with a Primera, changed to a Maxima, that has long since died due to bodywork issues.
I have just bought a Nissan Cima, JDM, on your side of the atlantic it is known as the Infiniti Q45.
Anyway All the manuals and screen displays are in Japanese, and it is hard to know what does what. Anyone know if there are some on line manuals for the model?

UK nissan once more now that I have bought this.

you can download the Google Translate app, you can take a picture of anything in any language and it will translate the lettering on the picture to english. ive used it on manuals/screens in JDM vehicles no issues

two new questions,
how do I reset the automatic seat positioning to my height, It rolls forward too far when I start the engine as previous keeper was shorter than me.

Also, the wing mirrors keep going back to closed when I start the engine? how would I make that do the correct sequence on starting?

I cannot find a manual for a 2007 Infiniti Q45. Everything I find ends at 2006. I found references to 1 2007 being sold in Dubai and South Africa, but definitely not in the United States. The 2006 manual will probably be 99% accurate for your car.

For the seats, you need to have the car memorize/store the settings for you. To do this, get in the car,and close the door. Have the transmission in park and turn the ignition key to ON but do not start the engine. Adjust the seat, the mirrors and the steering column the way you want them to be. on the door panel press and hold the SET button and with in 5 seconds press and hold the 1 or 2 button (whichever one you want your settings stored under) until the light in the button illuminates, about one second. The light in the 1 or 2 button will stay on for a few seconds before it goes out. When it goes out, your settings have been recorded. This is in the 2006 manual that I linked to on pages 3-20 and 3-21.

As for the side mirrors, I think when you set the seat, mirror and steering column positions, the mirrors won't fold back anymore. There is also a side mirror memory setting for backing up. The procedure immediately follows the seat setting procedure, on page 3-21.

Hi Dennis,

In the end a 2006 Q45 manual showed that there was a button for the wing mirrors and it showed me how to set the seats properly.
It is a 330 page manual, I can only absorb a little at a time. but it is a very smooth ride, a bit wallowy for european tastes, but very comfy on the highway!
